Therapy Services
Individual Therapy
The decision to seek counseling is is a big step. For many, this means entrusting someone with your story that includes topics that may feel scary to disclose. We offer clients a safe, non-judgmental, space to explore and release that which you have been carrying. Each client is different and we tailor our approach to meet your needs. We believe in working collaboratively–giving you the space to share your story and find your own strengths within it–while adding agreed upon techniques when appropriate.
Couples Therapy
If you're looking towards couples therapy you may be lacking connection in your relationship, looking to strengthen your communication, or struggling to get through a life transition such as parenthood. When these issues arise, there may be something deeper going on. We want to help you explore these issues and rebuild your connection with your partner. An environment of safety and neutrality is offered as we explore relational issues.
Teen & Adolescent Therapy
Therapists who work with children—especially young children—are hard to come by. We aim to help those families struggling to find the right therapist for their child. We have a passion for working with children and have expertise in play therapy, EMDR, sandtray, behavioral, and narrative techniques that work best for children and teens.
Family Counseling
Problems within the family system can eaffect each family member individually. Often, when one member of the family is experiencing distress, it is a symptom of the family's experience as a whole. Family therapy can be especially beneficial when a child is exhibiting distress—even an adult child. During family therapy sessions, we insure each family member is heard and understood.
Group Therapy
Group therapy is a warm and compassionate space where individuals can come together to share their experiences in a safe and supportive environment. Guided by a trained therapist, participants have the opportunity to explore their thoughts and feelings related to trauma, anxiety, depression, and more, all while surrounded by others who understand their struggles. This shared journey fosters connection and validation, reminding everyone that they are not alone in their experiences.
Trauma Therapy Modalities
-

EMDR
EMDR is a technique used for memory reconsolidation. This modality uses bilateral stimulation to reprocess traumatic events that have occurred with the goal of minimizing and, eventually, diminishing symptoms. Reprocessing traumatic events allows us to come to a new understanding of the event and the beliefs you hold about yourself in relation to the trauma.
-

Internal Family Systems
Internal Family Systems therapy was created around the idea that we all have an internal system with parts that hold different roles. In the IFS model, we consider each part as important and necessary and get to know each part with the goal of integrating them in to the system to become self lead rather than part lead. This modality is helpful in connecting the body with emotion and memory.
-

Somatic Experiencing
In this modality, we recognize the body’s natural resilience and capabilities for healing. We follow sensations, images, behaviors, affect, and meaning related to past distressing events to move through the ways they are showing up in the present. When we learn to follow the body’s natural impulses, we can more easily allow distress to move through us, rather than become stuck within.

Sandtray Therapy
Sandtray therapy is a tactile way of accessing our subconscious through symbols and metaphor. Both children and adults find the tool of the sand to be an engaging approach to therapy – especially trauma therapy. Our clinicians are skilled and trained in this way of working and witnessing, walking alongside you, and honoring your journey in the sand.
