MEET ALEX
Each part of you - yes, even those that are hard to face - has something to teach you about yourself. Let’s explore these parts and emotions together.

My name is Alex, and I am a compassion-led clinician with a goal of creating and maintaining an open and trusting connection with the people I work with. Because of my curious nature toward humanity and relationships, I believe that you have everything within you to navigate the challenges of life while maintaining inner peace and contentment in both your personal life and relationships. Each part of you—yes, even the ones that are hard to face—has something to teach you about yourself. Let’s explore these parts and emotions together. I have spent 20+ years in and out of therapy, so I understand how difficult it can be to find the right therapist. Even if you decide not to move forward with me, you should be proud of yourself for taking the first step on this path.
My therapeutic interests include working with individuals and couples who have experienced betrayal trauma and are looking to rebuild trust. Betrayal doesn’t just occur in romantic relationships. If you’ve been hurt deeply by a loved one, betrayal trauma may have shaken your belief system, causing you to feel anxious, confused, and in emotional pain. You may be left with beliefs like:
“Something must be wrong with me.”
“I am unlovable”
“I am worthless”
“I am a fool”
You are not broken for struggling with this life event. I will not take your betrayal trauma lightly. Whether you’re navigating trust recovery on your own to build healthier relationships in the future, or working with your partner(s) to rebuild a fulfilling connection, I can offer insights and tools to assist in the repair process using an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) approach. I work from an emotionally focused perspective to help clients connect more deeply with themselves and/or their partners, fostering a bridge of understanding and empathy.
I also enjoy working with individuals transitioning into new seasons of life. Whether you’re starting a new career, retiring, embarking on a new chapter of commitment in a relationship, or experiencing deep grief, these feelings of anticipation or trepidation are a natural part of the process, but you don’t have to go through them alone. As your therapist, my approach is compassionate yet direct. As our relationship deepens, I will guide us through difficult conversations to ensure we address the painful parts of your life and any aspects of yourself that may be hindering your personal growth. It takes intention and commitment to do this work, and if you’re ready, I’m here to support you.
I believe in this work because I’ve experienced it firsthand. My own journey through betrayal trauma involved reconnecting with myself and rebuilding my self-esteem, learning to see my value, and advocating fiercely for my needs. No longer shrinking to appease others, I’ve learned that taking up space with my feelings can attract people who will love and honor me as I love and honor myself. Through my experience as a client, utilizing trauma-informed techniques, I no longer feel crippled by painful memories and experiences. I now find immense contentment in my life and relationships, and I hope to share what I’ve learned with you.
In my personal life, you can find me at a local coffee shop enjoying a mocha latte and indulging in a fantasy novel. I fill my cup by spending quality time with my dearest friends and cooking with my husband. I am most joyful when I am traveling and skiing, but I also find daily contentment in reading and listening to classical music.
I will be offering EMDR Spring 2025.
