Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

There are times where you just can’t convince these protective parts to let us get to an exile and heal it. And a psychedelic session can expedite that pretty easily.
— Dr. Richard C. Schwartz, Creator of the IFS Model

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is a holistic approach; Ketamine is used as a complement to psychotherapy. KAP can help eligible clients shift out of stuckness, to experience breakthroughs and sustained improvement in symptoms. Many clients report significant relief after just a few sessions. Research shows the benefits of Ketamine have the greatest impact when used in conjunction with trauma-informed therapy.

What is Ketamine?

Ketamine is a legal, safe, and effective medicine used to treat a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, and PTSD. It has rapidly-acting antidepressant and mood-enhancing effects, which can begin to take effect within 1-2 hours after treatment and last for up to 2 weeks. Ketamine works by blocking the brain’s NMDA receptors and stimulating AMPA receptors, which help form new synaptic connections and boost neural circuits that regulate stress and mood. It has also been shown to enhance overall neuroplasticity for lasting symptom improvement.

Who Can Benefit?

KAP is especially beneficial for individuals dealing with:

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

  • Major Depressive Disorder

  • Anxiety and Panic Disorders

  • Chronic Pain

We deliver KAP in partnership with Journey Clinical, which has a specialized medical team that determines eligibility for KAP, prescribes ketamine lozenges, and supports outcome monitoring. We provide trauma-informed journeying sessions, psychedelic integration, and ongoing therapeutic care.

Please note we do not offer self-guided KAP journeys.
