My experiences have cultivated my beliefs in the healing power of connection, whether those relationships are with family, friends, coworkers, romantic partners, or the self. The cornerstone of any successful therapy is the relationship between the client and therapist.
welcome
If you are reading this, you’re probably just beginning your therapy journey. Maybe it’s the first time, maybe it’s the fifth, regardless I commend you for taking this step. My name is Evie (she/her) and I’m glad you’re here. As a therapist, my goal is to create a warm and affirming place for clients to share their experiences. Therapy looks different for everyone; it does not need to look or sound in any certain way. This space is for you to share your fear, joy, tears, wins, chaos, toughest battles, and everything in between. Being human is messy, sometimes it doesn’t play out the way we imagined, and I want to offer you a soft place to land and heal. I am looking forward to getting to know you.
how i work
My experiences have cultivated my beliefs in the healing power of connection, whether those relationships are with family, friends, coworkers, romantic partners, or the self. The cornerstone of any successful therapy is the relationship between the client and therapist. Using a relational and attachment-based framework, the client and I begin by fostering a unique connection, working as a team to co-facilitate the therapeutic process. I am not a blank slate therapist. What does this mean? This means reflecting on the feelings that come up within the therapeutic relationship and regularly checking in with your needs. Part of my work involves exploring past relationships and experiences, examining how these are affecting you in the present. I am passionate about helping others get curious, discovering and accepting all parts of self with compassion. I utilize aspects of mindfulness, ACT therapy, and parts work.
outside the therapy room
My goal this year is to slow down and become more present, so my hobbies try to reflect that. They include the occasional yoga session, unfinished embroidery projects, thrifting, journaling, and reading. I enjoy spending time with loved ones or spending time in my community attending local events.
